Their requirements for membership typically include 6 years (minimum) university study, ongoing training, supervision and comprehensive insurance cover.

The MyPsych team also subscribes to the Suggested Principles for the Online Provision of Mental Health Services published by the International Society for Mental Health Online (ISMHO), incorporates practical guidelines for the conduct of Online Therapy such as those published by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Australian Psychological Society and is in the process of applying for accreditation from the Health on the Net Code for Quality & Trustworthiness of the Medical and Health Web (HONcode ) published by the Health on the Net Foundation.
